weightlossclinic.care is an independent online directory that lists bariatric, metabolic-surgery and medical weight-management clinics around the world. The site is operated by WeightLossClinic.care, Hong Kong, SAR China (“we”, “our”, “us”). We are not a healthcare provider and do not give medical advice; all treatment decisions are strictly between patients and the clinics they choose.

2 – Scope of this notice
This notice explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect any personal data obtained when you:

fill in an enquiry form ("Contact" page)

browse the site, which generates cookies and server logs

If you disagree with any part of this notice, please do not use the website.

3 – What we collect
Contact data you provide
• name, e-mail address, telephone number, country, preferred procedure
• optional health details (e.g. BMI, existing conditions) if you write them in a free-text field

Technical and usage data
• IP address, browser type and version, device information, pages visited, timestamps
• first-party cookies and Google Analytics metrics (with IP anonymisation enabled)

We never request sensitive health data unless you choose to supply it voluntarily.

5 – Data sharing and transfers
The clinics you expressly select receive only the data needed to respond to your request. They become independent controllers of that data.

Service providers such as the web-host (AWS, USA region), e-mail relay (Postmark, USA) and analytics provider (Google, USA) process data under contract with us and are bound by EU Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.

Authorities or courts may receive data only if required by law or to prevent fraud or harm.

6 – Cookies and similar technologies
The site uses essential cookies for security and session management and Google Analytics 4 cookies (_ga etc.) for aggregated traffic measurement. Enquiry e-mails and related contact data are kept for up to 24 months after your last interaction, then deleted or anonymised.

Security logs are kept for 30 days.

The service is intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we learn that we hold data about a minor, we delete it promptly.

weightlossclinic.care is strictly an informational directory. We do not endorse or evaluate any clinic and we do not provide medical advice. Choosing a clinic is entirely at the user’s own risk. We disclaim all liability for outcomes, damages or losses arising from decisions you make based on information obtained through the site. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before undergoing any procedure.

We may update this notice to reflect changes in the law or our practices. The revision date at the top shows the current version. Major changes will be announced on the home page or, if you have provided an e-mail address, by direct notification.
